Parenting around the world is my first post series. It focuses on how we can learn from the way other cultures raise children.
This series was put together from decades of travel experience, interviews with international citizens and expats, and lots and lots of research. Many of us interact with people from other countries and cultures on a daily basis, and parents have a habit of judging the way other parents raise their children. While there may be a wrong or a right way to do certain things, a lot of our criticism is born out of misunderstanding. By familiarising ourselves with the way other cultures parent and the reasons behind their choices, we obtain a better perspective. Maybe you’ll even choose to do something differently!
Start with the introduction to understand more about why I chose to write this series, then pick and choose whichever cultures seem interesting or relevant to you!
